Will AI lead the world in the 22nd century?

September 30, 2023 Yes, chances are that artificial intelligence (AI) will lead humanity in the 22nd century. In theory, leadership is about setting a compelling vision and guiding followers into accomplishing a mission. In reality, leadership is about taking care of subjects by rewarding submission and punishing opposition. As everything else in life, good leaders are those who can master agency (choice) managing pain and pleasure. This article discusses a wide range of topics related to leadership, especially political leadership. Politics is essentially the art and science of having power over people. AI will eventually (not any time soon) master the art of politics and have power of humans. For the reasons to be explored below, many humans (not all) will submit to AI's leadership and form a loyal followership. How could this be? You may ask if not completely dismissing it as impossible science fiction altogether.   Humans are primates. In general, primates choose leaders who re

Is animal intelligence better than artificial intelligence for life?

September 26, 2023 No, animal intelligence is not better than artificial intelligence (AI) for life. Animal intelligence was generated by trial and error evolution. It took natural selection almost 4 billion years to get life to where it is today with humans at the top of the food chain. In a tiny fraction of that time, AI will surpass organic evolution and natural selection in all benchmarks to hopefully propel humans not to higher levels of the food chain, but rather outside of it. That is, AI should be able to help humanity to escape the sorrowful human condition and continue making progress in life. Human Civilization Human progress comes from escaping the shackles of nature. Human civilization derives from humanity's choice to behave in a more civilized way than the rest of the animal kingdom. Humanity's choice to figure out how things work and to invent technologies (tools and methods) led humans to the top of the natural food chain.  All humans are animals subject to the

Will AI make the Apple Vision Pro a success?

September 24, 2023 Yes, the Apple Vision Pro (VP) and the whole augmented reality (AR) industry of the future will depend on AI applications. The AR headsets will become the boombox "ghetto blasters" of the future. From the ski goggle design of 2023 to the invisible contact lenses design of the future, augmented reality (AR) vision sets are here to stay.  History doesn't repeat itself. At least not exactly because the universe moves in only one direction without revisiting the past. However, the humans creating the future of humanity are not materially different from the humans that created the past. Therefore, it is smart to study human history to make predictions about what humans will do next.    Apple's Vision Pro (VP) can be similar to the cassette tape boombox that was developed in the 1960s and became ubiquitous in the 1980s. AR vision can become the next big thing giving way to even more fascinating AR integrations in the future. AR vision sets powered by AI m

Will AI help humans lose weight?

September 23, 2023 Yes, artificial intelligence (AI) will help humans lose weight. AI will help the and pharmaceutical industry develop compounds and medications that will allow humans to eat as much as they want without gaining weight. AI will also help biotechnology develop genetic therapies that will modify how humans crave and metabolize energy. Eventually, AI will help humans transition into inorganic life without cravings for organic plants and dead animals. To gain weight, animals need to be in a caloric surplus state. That is, consume more calories than what they burn. The extra energy is stored in the body as fat. Conversely, to lose weight, animals need to be a caloric deficit state. Energy output must exceed energy intake.  The conventional approach to losing weight includes dieting and exercising to elicit a caloric deficit state. This generally forces the body use up the fat energy reserves stored in the body. A caloric deficit state, however, tends to be painful while pur

Can the essence of animal life be programmed into AI?

September 22, 2023 Yes, the essence of animal life can be programmed into AI.  The first step would be determining what is the essence of animal life. As everything else in this universe, life seems to be related to balancing or neutralizing opposite states. Opposites refer to symmetrical antithesis in value. This universe seems to work by dynamically interplaying opposite states. That could be opposite spin, direction, charge, force, etc.  Animal life seems to hinge on the dynamic balancing of opposite electrochemical impulses produced by the brain. These two opposite impulses are what humans refer to as "pain' and "pleasure". Everything an animal life is controlled by pain and pleasure. Everything an animal, including all humans, have ever done in history, are doing today, and will do tomorrow is utterly controlled by the dynamic interplay of painful and pleasurable electrochemical impulses orchestrated by the brain.  The pain / pleasure pathways are inherited (gen

Better AI robot than human?

September 19, 2023 Absolutely, there will be a time when humans will prefer to be artificially intelligent robots. AI Robots don't need to kill to survive. Humans are animals and as such need to consume organic matter to survive. This means that humans need to kill plants or animals to stay alive. That is part of the horrible hunger games played by "mother" nature. Some life form needs to suffer so that another one can get ahead.   Humans do kill many plants and many animals to survive. Some humans are distressed by that reality of natural life. Some are unaffected. Others rationalize it to feel empowered as a "superior" form of life dictating who lives and who dies on planet Earth.  Regardless, AI robots (AIRs) may be developed and evolve to rely on solar power and battery storage without having to consume organic matter to stay alive. AIRs may survive without having to kill others.   AIRs don't poop. Since humans are animals that need to metabolize (digest
