What to Do When You Are Fired from Your Job and How to Prepare for the Future

February 22, 2025 What to Do When You Are Fired from Your Job and How to Prepare for the Future "You're fired!" That scary predicament made Trump famous in The Apprentice. The iconic phrase turned Donald into a reality TV star, consolidating his larger-than-life persona as a celebrity businessman. As President and Convict in Chief, Trump continues to garner attention by firing federal employees. There will be a record number of Americans losing their jobs this year.  Firing people is the new black. Corporate America will surely follow Trump's lead and fire often and proactively to intimidate the workforce into higher productivity. Firing creates a type of "tournament mentality" that helps employers squeeze productivity from those who are afraid of losing their jobs and have the means to dedicate single heartedly to the mission of serving their bosses.  Losing a job can be a deeply stressful and overwhelming experience. Whether the termination is expected or ...

Is Trump taking America back to high inflation?

February 22, 2025 Is Trump taking America back to inflation, unemployment, and stagnation? We love the Donald. He's the essence of the dark side of the American Spirit yet our spirit nonetheless. For the English and most Western Europeans, the Donald is the incarnation of the America First revolutionary and greedy spirit. For liberals, moderates, and true republicans (believers in the republican form of government), the Donald is a despicable king wannabe. For us, he's an useful idiot running a trial and error experiment that will help all of us one way or another. The Donald is a once in a hundred years, 78-year old cellular network of contradictions, risks, and potential rewards. For good or bad, the Donald will die relatively soon, most likely of a massive heart attack.  In the meantime, President Donald Trump's economic policies continue sparking debate regarding their potential to lead the United States toward high inflation, elevated unemployment, increased deficits, ...

Should you buy Vimeo at 90% off?

February 20, 2025 Is Vimeo a buy at 90% off? We don't think so. Even at 90% from its peak valuation in May 2021, Vimeo, Inc. (NASDAQ: VMEO) appears to be overvalued. Vimeo's market capitalization stands at $1.12 billion, with a P/E ratio of about 28. In our view, it is hard to justify a valuation for Vimeo above $500M. The company operates in a very crowded segment with very aggressive competitors.  Vimeo continues to innovate by leveraging AI to enhance its video creation and management tools, aiming to provide seamless and efficient solutions for its diverse user base.  As of February 20, 2025, Vimeo enjoys a market capitalization of approximately $1.12 billion. Vimeo's market capitalization reached its peak shortly after becoming an independent public company in 2021. Vimeo was spun off from IAC and began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol VMEO on May 25, 2021. On July 7, 2021, Vimeo's stock achieved its all-time high closing price of $51.67 for a peak mar...

Losers today, winners tomorrow? Should you buy Cava and Palantir after today's plunge?

February 19, 2025 Should you buy Cava and Palantir after today's plunge? No. Although both are good companies, they are significantly overpriced. You should patiently wait for a 20% to 25% price drop before considering adding them to your portfolio.  Today, February 19, 2025, Cava and Palantir had very bad days in the stock market. Each company lost about 10% in value in just one trading day. Cava and Palantir are both good companies, but are both overpriced. The stocks will most likely continue experiencing some heavy winds in their respective industries in the days ahead. Cava is currently trading at $119 per share. Palantir is trading at $107 per share, You should consider adding them to stocks on your radar. Once their share prices go well below $100 each, you may want to consider adding a few shares here and there (not too many and not too quickly) to your portfolio.   Cava Group, Inc. (NYSE: CAVA)  Cava Group, Inc. (NYSE: CAVA) lost 10.42% today. The restaurant...

Is it a good idea to invest in Chinese technology stocks?

February 18, 2025 Is it a good idea to invest in Chinese technology stocks? Yes. The #1 rule of investing is diversification. It's not a bad idea at all to consider investing a little (e.g. 2% - 5%) of your portfolio in the Chinese technology sector. It has done relatively well in the past 20 years and it can be expected to remain relatively strong in the next 20 years. It could prove to be a good hedge in the long run. China is the second largest economy in the world after the United States. China also has the most billionaires in the world after the United States. Most Chinese billionaires come from the technology sector.  Creatix recommends getting exposure to the Chinese technology stocks indirectly via an exchange traded fund. Our recommendation is to consider buying some shares of the iShares MSCI China Multisector Tech ETF (Ticker TCHI).  The TCHI ETF is designed to track the performance of large and mid-cap Chinese companies leading in technological innovation. It offe...

Are you ready for a Trumpcession?

February 17, 2025 Is your portfolio ready for a Trumpression?  Some say that the two main engines of economic growth in the United States are immigration and federal spending. President Trump is cutting both. If we are lucky, other engines such as innovation and lower taxes will carry the day and propel us forward. If we are unlucky, stagnation could set in, leading to a recession (a Trumpcession), or even a depression (Trumression).  President Trump is massively increasing unemployment of federal workers. Under the advice of African entrepreneur Elon Musk, the President has fired hundreds of thousands of federal employees. That is an immediate and direct increase in unemployment, which should be noticeable even if very slightly.  President Trump is also massively deporting illegal aliens. That will not have a direct impact on unemployment figures because the detainees and deportees will not file for unemployment benefits. However, deportations may have a significantly ad...

Should you add Cadre Holdings to your Trump Trade Portfolio? You bet

February 16, 2025 Does Cadre Holdings (CDRE) belong in your Trump Trade Portfolio? You bet.  President Trump is changing the country and the world. There is a reasonable probability that our country is changed forever. As Trump promised during the campaign, there will not be any more elections in this country. A Trump coup d'etat backed by Putin seems inevitable for many. The United States of Trump seems to be creating a new alliance with Russia that will most likely reshape the entire post WWII world order. Best case scenario for the United States of Trump is becoming a bigger version of the United Arab Emirates. Worst case scenario is becoming Venezuela. Likely case scenario is becoming a capitalist version of Russia.  Nothing will be exactly the same yet many things will remain almost unchanged. Of the things that will most likely stay the same under any geopolitical scenario to come is that you will need financial resources to survive and thrive. You need to continue inves...

Warren Buffett's best lesson? Hedge against your best judgment.

February 16, 2025 What can you learn from Warren Buffett's Bitcoin fiasco? Bet against yourself. Don't be like Warren Buffett. Don't let your ego blind your vision. Don't let your investment philosophy get in the way of the most important rule in investing: diversification.  Ten years ago, Berkshire Hathaway was sitting on $42 billion in cash reserves. Like everyone else in finance, Warren Buffett was advised to have his company invest some money in Bitcoin just in case. Warren Buffet refused, infamously calling Bitcoin a "mirage". Time has proven Buffett wrong in many multiples. Had Warren Buffett had the vision to invest to see beyond his ego and the wisdom to second guess his human judgment, Berkshire Hathaway would have made over 15,000% in just 10 years.     Warren Buffett, the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, has been a vocal critic of Bitcoin for over a decade. His skepticism dates back to at least March 2014, when he referred to Bitcoin as a ...

Is Intel the hottest stock to buy next week after the Presidents' Day Holiday?

February 15, 2025 Is Intel the hottest stock to buy next week after the Presidents' Day Holiday? Yes, Intel Corporation (INTC) is on fire and still has some upward lift momentum this month. Intel, an S&P 500 company, experienced a remarkable surge in its stock price this week, rising approximately 27% over the past four trading sessions. This was Intel's most significant four-day gain since 1987.  Intel's upward momentum is being attributed to Vice President JD Vance's remarks at the AI Action Summit in Paris, emphasizing the Trump administration's commitment to bolstering domestic semiconductor manufacturing. There is speculation about potential collaborations between Intel and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), possibly involving joint ventures to enhance chip production capabilities in the U.S.  Despite this recent rally, analysts maintain a cautious outlook on Intel's stock. According to 26 analysts, the average 12-month price target is $...

Is Japan a good hedge against a potential decline in the United States of Musk?

February 15, 2025 Are you hedging against a potential decline in the United States of Musk?  You should. While we hope that the Trump economy works and that the U.S. dollar and U.S. stocks continue leading the financial world, there is always a chance of things turning out for the worse. IN that case, you want to find yourself in a position where you don't stand to lose it all. Remember that the first rule in investing is diversification. Never put all your eggs in one basket.  Buying the Japanese Yen and investing in Japanese stocks makes sense these days. The Yen is still trading at near record lows. Although the Nikkei 225 is close to record highs, valuations seem very reasonable and affordable when compared to the S&P 500. What is hedging in investing?   Hedging in investing is a strategy used to reduce or manage risk by taking offsetting positions in related assets. Hedging acts as "insurance" against potential losses in a portfolio. Hedging typically involv...

Are Trump and Putin Satoshi Nakamoto?

February 14, 2025 Are Trump and Putin Satoshi Nakamoto?  Of course not. However, by now both men may be well informed about the role of their intelligence agencies in the creation of the Satoshi Nakamoto operation that led to the creation of Bitcoin. This may  explain their recent 180 degree towards accepting and promoting Bitcoin.     Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonymous individual or group credited with creating Bitcoin, the pioneering cryptocurrency. In October 2008, Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper, "Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System," outlining a decentralized digital currency system. By January 2009, Nakamoto released the first Bitcoin software and mined the initial block, known as the "genesis block," embedding the message: "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks." Despite extensive speculation, Nakamoto's true identity remains unknown. One thing is sure, Satoshi Naka...

Is Tesla a buy at 33% off its peak?

February 11, 2025 Is Tesla a buy at 33% off its peak? No. We expect that Tesla will lose 40% in valuation relatively soon.  Tesla Inc. (TSLA) had another awful day today, losing 6.3% from its previous close. TSLA has declined approximately 33% since its peak on December 8, 2024. Tesla achieved an all time intraday high of $488 on December 8, 2024 just a little over two months ago. TSLA closed today at $328.50 per share, reflecting a 33% decrease from its peak valuation. We are surprised. Although Creatix predicted Tesla's fall and is holding a symbolic short sale position against Tesla on the Creatix fund, it is surprising to see such a dramatic fall in just a little over 2 months. Tesla's capitalization stands at approximately $1.057 trillion, having lost about half a trillion ($500,000,000,000) in 66 days (about $7.6 billion per day in average). Creatix believes that Tesla will continue falling down. Our target price for Tesla is $199 per share, reflecting a pending decrease ...

Is Super Micro Computer Inc (SMCI) a super buy at $43?

February 10, 205 Is SMCI a super buy at $43? Yes, we believe so. As a disclaimer, we are currently holding Super Micro Computer Inc (SMCI) in the Creatix fund. The stock had been battered down due to accounting irregularity concerns and the potential delisting from NASDAQ. SMCI offered to release a report by tomorrow February 11, 2025 addressing its financials. Today, the stock experienced a 17.65% price increase, closing at $42.65. Chances are that market players got an early word about the report and that it will bring good news. Additionally, SMCI announced today the full ramp-up of production for its AI data center, utilizing NVIDIA's Blackwell platform. This development has further boosted investor confidence in the company's growth prospects. These factors combined have contributed to the notable rise in SMCI's stock price today. SMCI's accounting issues            1. Between 2014 and 2017, the company engaged in improper accounting practices, in...

February, 9 2025 Is Metsera a slim buy at $29 or is the weight loss drug stock already fat?  Metsera Inc. (NASDAQ: MTSR), the weight loss drug maker, had a fat IPO.
