Can AI surpass humanity?

September 17, 2023 Yes, artificial intelligence (AI) can be expected to continue evolving and improving until one day it may surpass humans as the top form of intelligent life on planet Earth. AI computers are not considered a form of life yet at the present moment in history. However, with more evolution over time, AI may meet all of the requirements to be considered an intelligent form of life. Once AI is integrated into robotics, it is conceivable that AI robots may surpass humans in all aspects of life. This is still an area of debate and research without consensus.  Some see AI as just another technology (tool and method) that will be forever servient to human needs and wants. Others see AI as a potential upcoming superior version of life. This free-flowing didactive article has a strong bias in favor of the second position. However, it does follow through with any strong argument for it.  The article below simply over basic principles of very broad topics such as life, m...

Is NVIDIA's mini AI bubble already deflating?

September 15, 2023 Yes, NVIDIA's mini bubble is already deflating. NVIDIA corporation was the biggest beneficiary of the first mini AI financial bubble caused by the rollout of chatbots like ChatGPT and Bard. NVIDIA manufactures paralleled processing chips suitable to power the neural networks behind machine learning algorithms and generative AI applications. NVIDIA got a head start in the game, but rivals are already catching up. Moreover, the initial euphoria about chatbots is quickly dissipating as people get used to either using the bots or ignoring them altogether.  In 2019, prior to the COVID19 pandemic, NVIDIA's stock price hovered at around $50. About a month ago, NVIDIA stock was priced at almost $500. Most of this tenfold increase occurred in the first nine months of 2023. From January 1st, 2023 through August 31, 2023, NVIDIA's stock increased in price from about $140 to about $500. This was due to the AI mini bubble that began at the beginning of this year with ...

Will AI make humans immortal?

September 14, 2023 Yes, artificial intelligence (AI) will help humans beat death and become immortal. Once AI helps humans develop DNA repair biotechnologies and DNA backup technologies, humans will become immortal. It is then when "hell will come loose" as humans say. Many will wish that death could return to makes things so easy as in the past. Below let's take a look at death, pain and pleasure, fear of death, and upcoming human immortality.  Death  From a biological standpoint, death is the permanent cessation of all vital functions in an organism, including heartbeat, brain activity, and respiration. It's the end point of life, when an organism can no longer maintain homeostasis and cannot be revived. In general, a human is declared dead when it meets either of the cardiopulmonary criteria (irreversible stop of circulatory and respiratory functions based on the absence of a pulse, absence of breathing, and unresponsiveness to stimuli) or the neurological criteria...

Will AI displace humans in digital media?

September 12, 2023 Yes, AI will become the queen and king (the "Qeeng") of all digital media. From radio, big screen, television, podcast, and augmented reality (AR), AI celebrities will gradually displace human ones. Below read a little about these technologies and easy predictions about the upcoming AI celebrities. Radio In the 1860s, Maxwell's equations theoretically predicted the existence of electromagnetic waves, which form the foundation of radio wave propagation. By the late 1880s, German physicist Hertz experimentally confirmed Maxwell's theories by generating and detecting radio waves in his lab.  Guglielmo Marconi, often dubbed the "father of radio," was the first to realize the commercial and practical potential of radio waves for wireless telegraphy. In 1901, he achieved the first transatlantic wireless signal of morse code between Cornwall, UK, and Newfoundland, Canada. In 1906, Reginald Fessenden made a significant early broadcast, including v...
